Special Issue Policy
Our journal may publish special issues with the aim of supporting scientific advancements, focusing on current research areas, and bringing together high-quality academic work centered around specific themes. Special issues may be planned in line with a specific topic, research area, project outcome, conference or symposium theme, or current scientific developments, provided they align with the journal’s objectives and scope.
The decision to publish a special issue is made by the Editorial Board. The topic, scope, publication date, and language of the special issue are determined by the Editorial Board.
To ensure the effective management of the editorial processes for special issues, special issue editors or a separate editorial team may be appointed, independent of the editorial team responsible for regular issues. However, special issues are also subject to the journal’s general publication policies, ethical principles, and editorial standards.
All submissions submitted for special issues are reviewed in accordance with the same principles as the evaluation processes applied in the journal’s regular issues. The special issue process does not alter editorial independence, impartiality, scientific evaluation criteria, or principles of publication ethics. All submissions undergo a preliminary review, and eligible works are evaluated using a double-blind peer review process.
To prevent conflicts of interest when evaluating the work of editors who have articles in a special issue, necessary measures are taken. The editorial privileges of the relevant editors are suspended throughout the process regarding their own articles, and their access to the review process is restricted. This ensures that the principle of double-blind peer review is upheld and that the review process is conducted impartially.
The number of articles to be published in special issues is determined by considering the journal’s publication capacity, editorial planning, and scientific quality criteria. No guarantee is provided that all submissions submitted for a special issue will be published. Works deemed unsuitable as a result of peer reviews and editorial reviews are rejected.
All works published in the special issue are subject to the journal’s copyright, open access, archiving, and ethical publishing policies.
