Abstract

Mustafa Necati Sepetçioğlu's novel, called Kilit was written due to the Malazgirt Victory's 900th anniversary. Carrying the past to the present, the novel comments on history with a romantic sensitivity. The Malazgirt Victory is a turning point for Anatolia's nationality, undertakes an important role for Turks' existence in Anatolia. The writer wants to make mission transfer by carrying mythic energy to modern day which is related to this important foundation period. Alpaslan turns up as an archetype who has sovereign ideas which are for the future collective counciousness.

In the novel called Kilit when writer turns the historical one into the literary text, he catches a high-ranking explanation before falling into a sloganic interpretation. İn declaration, the analysis of national romantic historical transformation will be made in accordance with novel theory.
