The Usage of Morale and Heroic Elements in the Konak and Çatı

Abstract
Mustafa Necati Sepetçioğlu who took the responsiblity of making turkish history known in literary terms and achieved this goal succesfully is one of the symbolic names of national romanticism in our novels. Sepetçioğlu uses remarkable and important adventures of Turkish nation as a subject in his novels, Konak and Çatı. In these two works, with a Yesi dervish hero called Kumral Dede, a period from last periods of Ertuğrul bey to the death of Osman bey is represented, a preparation phase for the Ottoman Empire takes place. The two important facts believed to found the Ottoman Empire "morale and heroism" are reflections of belief and bravery of Turkish nation.
This work has the purpose of determining how and from which point of views the morale and heroic elements are treated by taking Turkish religious and social lifes' features into acount.
