Matmazel Noraliya’nın Koltuğu according to a Physician

Abstract

Peyami Safa was two years old when he last his father and then lost his brother ten months later, has a future catastrophe waiting delusion in his all works. In his works, a fear of detection is felt approaching at each step. Meeting with doctors due to a bone disease with his right hand when he was nine years old caused him to feel a desire to be a doctor. Because of economic problems, he could not have an opportunity to realise this desire, but he continued his interest with medicine in his life time. As if it were written by a doctor, he has brought emotions, thoughts, observations and descriptions about spiritual and external world to the Turkish literature. In this paper, the majority of medical terminology are focused on as the appropriate and accurate use and diagnosis in his novel published in 1949.
