Abstract

Mustafa Kemal's idea of revolution did not emerge in a sudden and un-rooted manner, but he had the idea of change in the system from his early education. The evolution of the idea of revolution happened as a result of many factors such as the place where he lived and his early childhood, which provided him with self-conciousness. His education and schooling life, friends, teachers, the books that he read, the currents of though are also among the factors influencing Mustafa Kemal's ideas about the revolution. Mustafa Kemal gained a revolutionary character as a result of a mixture of all these factors. This paper examines the emergence and development of Mustafa Kemal's idea of revolution.
