Abstract
Inharmoniousness is an inevitable phenomenon that directs human behaviors and attitudes, and provides meaning to them. But with the beginning of modernism, the human being, forcing the balance of inharmoniousness in life, goes to position in which he feels himself alien. He feels worry because of the absence of human values and he gets anxious stemming from a black hole that threatens his life. In Turgut Uyar's poems we can find the turn of inharmoniousness to alienation as a threatening problem. He attracts attention to inharmoniousness that every one can live and to "meaninglessness of life" that is one of the biggest problems of modem human being and so to the problem of "alienation". This study tries to determine and explain this attempt of the poet.
