This research puts forward the places of usage of the knot motives by the Turks since their first appearance in the scene of history, giving the emphasis on two knot types which are seen in the geography which they live in and in their works. This paper also discusses the symbolic meanings of these motives that have one round and one angled lines observed in the structures of the period of the Anatolian Seljukids and in the structures of the period of the Principalities in the Middle Age.
