Abstract

Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, as a literary writer, tells the Prophet’s life with enthusiastic and respectful manner in his work Çöle İnen Nur. The sources that he used while writing the work are invisible due to the copyright method he followed. But he himself ensures information about the method of copyright among the lines of his works. By looking at this data, firstly Necip Fazıl’s copyright method was identified and then the sources he used in copyrighting were emphasized. Identifying the sources of a work that processes the biography of the Prophet gives clues about the use of resources in New Turkish Literature. This point is more important when Necip Fazıl is concerned. When all the terms evaluated together such as being one of the significant poets of the Republican Revolutionary Turkish Literature, being educated in the last years of Ottoman period and belonging to a generation that yielded first pieces of Republican period, it becomes more interesting to work on the sources of Çöle İnen Nur. This study will also provide an opportunity to compare with the other biographies of the Prophet written in the Republican period.
