Abstract
The Second Constitutional Period is an important era that different ideas and concepts have survived together. These ideas constituted the preparatory phase for the Republican reforms in Turkey. The characteristics of social and political ideas in this period are mostly sociological. The Intellectuals, bringing different suggestions have firstly emphasized modern social change. To achieve this task, the need for a new generation and a new mentality was felt. It was necessary to leave traditional ideas and socio-culturally a new individual model has been described. In this study a model for the new individual and society was described as designed by the Second Constitutional Period's Ottoman intellectuals.
